WHY WE SERVE

Motivated by our faith in Jesus Christ, we serve as a demonstration of God’s unconditional love for all people and on the ground of James 1:27 – Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

LIVO is a Non-Profit, Evangelistic and Humanitarian Outreach with divine mandate to help the helpless needy (widows, orphans and children) and in propagating the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ for the salvation of souls. LIVO was initiated under divine inspiration in October 2014 and registered in Nigeria, December 2016.

OBJECTIVES: To share, demonstrate and show the compassion of our Lord Jesus Christ to humanity through voluntary help, Word impacting for optimistic living, worldwide outreach for soul rescue and various other forms of philanthropic activities (Gal.5:14, Rom. 13:8-10).

WHO WE PROFESS

We proclaim together JESUS IS LORD. We desire Him to be central in our individual and corporate life.

We seek to follow Him- in His identification with the poor, the afflicted, the oppressed, the marginalized; in His special concern for children; in His respect for the dignity bestowed by God on women equally with men; in His challenge to unjust attitudes and system; in His call to share resources with each other; in His love for all people without discrimination or conditions; in His offer of new life through faith in Him.

From Him we derive our holistic understanding of the gospel of the kingdom of God, which forms the basis of our response to human need.

We bear witness to the redemption offered only through faith in Jesus Christ. we maintain our identity as Christian while being sensitive to the diverse contexts in which we express that identity.

OUR EXISTENCE

• In Acts 2:42-47, we are reminded that after Pentecost the church had its greatest impact for the gospel through small groups who met in each other’s homes. These groups met for meals, community, and study, and to help each other live out what they were learning from the Apostle’ teaching.
• Today, our small group sprang from corporate setting with an understanding from Hebrews 3:13, Hebrews 10:25 and 1 Thessalonians 5:16
  With many small groups throughout the body of Christ doing specific things in the power of the Holy Spirit to care for vulnerable people, through which we focus on widows, orphans and children.
• We got our flaming spirit that we have been rescued from the domination of darkness and brought into the kingdom of the son he loves in whom we have redemption. Col 1:13-14

WHAT WE DO

We provide sustainable assistance to widows, orphans and Children. We work with communities to develop long-term solutions to alleviate undue hardship.

WHO WE SERVE

We serve all people regardless of Religion, race, ethnicity, or gender with the flaming Spirit of Christ’s love.
